Commission – Wooster Farm, North Haven

It was truly an honor to have been commissioned to paint this 24 x 36″ oil on canvas of Wooster Farm on North Haven as it’s the former home of Frank Benson, the American Impressionist.  I actually painted two oils of this composition to be displayed in two locations.  This site is breathtaking and one of the narrowest points on the island – sandwiched between the Fox Island Thorofare to the east and Wooster Cove and Penobscot Bay to the west.  The hill in the distant center of the painting is where Benson painted many of his famous plein air paintings.  Truly a magical place!
