Reflection, Burnt Island

Posted on March 29th, 2012 by maineislandtreasures

While there are several islands of this name up and down the Maine coast, this interplay of light on the water was captured off of Burnt Island in West Penobscot Bay (near the northern coast of North Haven) as the fog lifted late one June morning.  A 24×36″ oil on canvas, “Reflection, Burnt Island” is the twentieth reflection painting in this series and is now on display in my solo exhibit at The Salt Exchange in Portland.
