Bartlett’s Harbor, North Haven

One of the most magnificent slices of the Maine coast can be found here in Bartlett’s Harbor, North Haven.  Painters Beatrice Van Ness and Frank Benson along with sculptors Bela Pratt and Frederick W. Allen gathered here (and at nearby Wooster Farm) in the early 1900’s inspired by it’s rugged beauty, unique coastline, and spectacular light.  This 8″ x 24″ oil on canvas captures the Allen’s family compound at the head of the cove and was gifted to them as a “thank you note.”
