Artwork in the Kennebunkport Designer Showhouse

The beautiful Kenneth Roberts Estate in Kennebunkport is home to the Kennebunkport Historical Society’s Designer Showhouse.  I had the pleasure of collaborating with Interior Designer Vanessa Helmick of Fiore Interiors who has transformed one of the large guest bedrooms into an elegant and peaceful space.  “Reflection, Jewell Island Diptych,” two 15″ x 30″ oils on raised canvas panels, was commissioned by Vanessa to coordinate with the fabric, rug, and wall colors in her room.  Vanessa’s creative vision had the panels mounted on antique wooden doors which were placed on either side of the bed.  WMTWs story on the Showhouse shows one of these panels in the bedroom at the beginning of the video clip as well as in Vanessa’s sound bite.  In addition, one of my large driftwood sculptures is perfectly at home on a gorgeous Thomas Moser dresser in the room.  The custom light fixture by the very talented Dawn and Adam from Inspired Wire Studio is also worth seeing as are the rest of the lovely rooms in the house through July 14th.
